Heat-resistant filler INVERSTUK METAL SN-96
INVER polyester metal filler sold by Aniversa for levelling surface defects in steel components before powder coating.
Levelling the surface before coating
INVERSTUK METAL SN-96, product code 80264, is suitable for use before powder coating and resists temperatures up to 500 °C. For high-temperature use, filler layers thicker than 400 µm are not recommended. These are filler properties, not a temperature-resistance guarantee for the complete primer and coating system.

Preparing the steel
Before filling, the surface must be clean, degreased and dry, without oxides or dust. Check compatibility between the selected primer and filler against the specific product documents.
Layer thickness and curing conditions
Assess the required levelling thickness and the subsequent powder-coating cure cycle. Resistance up to 500 °C is not an instruction to heat the filler to that temperature or change the coating product’s curing conditions.
Documents before use
Check the product code, hardener mixing, processing and safety measures against the current TDS and SDS. This page summary does not replace the product instructions.
Enquiring about the filler
Specify INVERSTUK METAL SN-96 or code 80264, the steel component’s defect, expected layer thickness, coating cure cycle and required quantity. Packaging, price and supply options are discussed individually.
Frequently asked questions
Is this filler suitable before powder coating?
Yes, this use is stated in the product TDS. Substrate preparation, layer thickness and compatibility with the selected coating system must also be respected.
Will the coating also withstand 500 °C?
Not necessarily. This figure applies to the filler. Primer and coating resistance must be assessed separately using their documentation.
Can a deep defect be filled with one thick layer?
For high-temperature use, the TDS does not recommend a layer thicker than 400 µm. If deeper levelling is needed, discuss a suitable alternative before work; adding layers is not an established way to bypass this limit.
